We had our own school Olympics which the students loved. They also got medals. Participation for the tabloids and Gold, Silver ,Bronze for the age races. It was well supported by whanau. All students have made great progress, some being a year above in Reading and 6 months above in Writing and Maths. I want to further extend Shaolyn in reading.
Her group is getting extra reading with the Teacher's aide.
The Early words and alphabet groups with the Teacher's aide have
helped Shaolyn's letter recognition and spelling attempts of words.
I will help her apply these skills to her story-writing.
Next we will also extend her counting on skills in Mathematics.

as it was one of my classroom goals for the year.

played in the playground and had a swim on the Splash pad.

led a Llama around the zoo , held rats and guinea pigs and saw 35 different animals and birds.
